Becoming a member
Membership of the Chaîne offers new members the opportunity to meet people who share a passion for good food and conviviality.
There are two types of member:
- Professional member: is classified as a member who owns or works in either a hotel or restaurant, such as a Hotel Owner, Hotel Director, General Manager or a Chef.
- Non professional member: is classified as an amateur member who does not own or work in a hotel or restaurant. All other professions and business sectors fall into this member category.
For Professional members, it provides an opportunity to demonstrate expertise and exceptional creativity to an audience of connoisseurs. In addition, members enjoy a special welcome in institutions associated with members of the Chaîne.
Membership of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is by invitation only. Most new members join through recommendation by friends who are already members, but it is also possible to obtain information directly through our national Bailliage. Simply contact our Bailli Délégué of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs of Belgium.
To become a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs of Belgium:
- Send us the appropriate form duly filled in (If you are a Professional: the form for Professionals PDF - 761 KB; if you are a Non-Professional: the form for Non-Professionals PDF – 735 KB); or
- Write to the Bailli Délégué by mail (Contact details) or by email.
Once the Siège Mondial receives the membership application form, a 'nomination' for induction is sent to the member along with a membership card, which entitles the new member to attend any events locally or internationally as well as the opportunity for a vote at the Annual General Meeting. At the induction ceremony, the new member is formally received into the Society and receives the appropriate coloured ribbon and diploma.
Both Professional and Non-Professional members have the chance to meet at Chaîne events locally, nationally and internationally and we strongly encourage our non-professional members to discover and visit member establishments.
Finally, membership is transferable worldwide. This means that if you become a Member of the Chaîne in one country and then, for professional or personal reasons you move to another country, your membership is still valid. As a Professional, you will also be able to take your membership with you if you transfer to another establishment.
