Professionnel members receive Michelin accolade

Chef Colin Gaëtan from the Restaurant "Jaloa", Brussels, who has received one star.

RTBF culinary program « France Chef Belgique » on the 19th of July 2011 (20.15 h).
Have you seen this program on RTBF ? A culinary match between 2 Chefs (Michelin star), 2 teams, 2 nations. A match for taste and for honour!
For this first event, Christophe Pauly, one of our professionnel members, chef of the Michelin star restaurant « Le coq aux champs » in Soheit-Tinlot (Liége Region) and Laurent Peugeot, French chef of the Michelin star restaurant « Le Charlemagne » in Pernand-Vergelesses (near Beaune) participated in this french-belgium cooking competition where they had to prepare 3 dishes: starter, main dish and desert from a selection of 70 ingredients. The host was the chef Lionel Rigolet of the Michelin star restaurant « Comme chez soi » in Brussels.
Twenty seven jury members of which were 9 Michelin star chefs judged the dishes prepared by the two chefs and their respective teams.
The winner was Chef Christophe Pauly who has already a extraordinary carreer since he was the youngest Chef to receive a Michelin star and this at the age of 26.
We congratulate him and his team for this wonderful victory for Belgium.

The chef Philippe and Marita Vanheule from the restaurant “Hof ter Eycken” in Ninove celebrate their 25 year of opening. During september, you will be able to try their "special 25 years” menu.
